What Value Can I Offer? (part 2)

Through my studies into the Art of Selling, I've learnt many key fundamental truths about the human behaviour.

There are 2 motivating forces that make people do what they do.

The need to avoid pain

AND

The want to experience pleasure.

Once you understand these 2 fundamental unchanging truths, you will learn how to bring value into people's lives. You will learn to find ways to show them how your product or service can help serve either one of these two needs.

For example, let's say you're selling insurance (hehehe...). You bring your sales presentation to your client and you start your selling process. However, if you fail to point out that the product you are selling helps them in any way whatsoever, you will have wasted your time.

Anthony Robbins once said, "The Information Age is dead." What he meant was that there is SO much information in the world, everyone is just drowning in it! Because of the abundance of information, the only way to catch your target's attention is to go through the emotional angle.

If I cannot fulfill your need, I'm just wasting my time (and yours).

Learn about this value of selling customers what they need, and not just what you want to sell, and you will have gained a customer for life!
